Traffic Data

Looking for Traffic Data for the City of Ferndale? We are here to help. On this page, you will find a variety of traffic data – some of it gathered by the Public Works department, some of it by Washington Department of Transportation and some of it by outside consultants.

The City recognizes that there will be wide varieties in traffic volumes depending on time of year, day, vehicular accidents, community events, rail traffic, weather, etc.  The City and its consultants/ partnering agencies seek to re-evaluate conditions on a regular basis in order to account for these fluctuations.

The City is primarily focused on maintaining the street system to preserve life-safety at all times, regardless of volume, and to provide sufficient capacity to respond to the reasonable highest traffic periods, typically found between 4 and 6pm on weekdays.
