Are you ready for warm weather and fun in Ferndale’s largest and most central park? There is something fun to do in Ferndale almost every weekend this summer, so get ready to eat, dance, and connect with your community at our Summer of Fun events in Pioneer Park!

Friday, June 20th – Food Truck Friday with the Bellingham Circus Guild – 5:30 PM in Pioneer Village

Several local food trucks will be set up in Pioneer Village starting at 5:30 PM so you can grab a dinner from a variety of vendors, relax in the park, and enjoy free entertainment from the Bellingham Circus Guild!

Saturday, June 21st – Metalworks Skate Jam/Competition – 11 AM-2 PM at Metalworks Skate Park

Join the City and fellow skaters for International Go Skate Day! This event is open to all ages and is cohosted by Ferndale’s own Huli Boardshop, the Northwest Skate Collective, Unknown Board Shop, and WWS Boardshop. More details, including competition sign-ups, to be announced soon.

Friday, June 27th – Flicks in the Park – Moana 2 – 9:00 PM in Pioneer Village

Grab your blanket or comfortable camping chair and come on down to Pioneer Village when the sun goes down for a feature film. Movie starts a little after 9:00 PM when it gets dark enough to see the film. Free popcorn and soda available for attendees.

“Moana 2” reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

Friday, July 11th – Flicks in the Park – The Wild Robot – 9:00 PM in Pioneer Village

Grab your blanket or comfortable camping chair and come on down to Pioneer Village when the sun goes down for a feature film. Movie starts a little after 9:00 PM when it gets dark enough to see the film. Free popcorn and soda available for attendees.

After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose.

Friday, July 18th – Music in the Park with County Rose – 5:30 PM in Pioneer Village

Join the City for a live concert on the Pioneer Village Stage! Food Trucks will also be in attendance so come hungry and enjoy dinner with free entertainment.

County Rose is a seven piece band from Whatcom and Skagit County that began its musical journey in 2023. The Players bonded over a common appreciation of the vast library of music in the Country and Americana songbook. County Rose performs country standards from the 70’s – 90’s as well as a selection of modern Country and Americana hits and original compositions with the mission of putting on a dynamic, high-energy show that appeals to people of all ages.

Saturday, August 17th – Yoga in the Park with Flow Motion – 10 AM in Pioneer Village

Flow Motion, LLC will be hosting a free yoga class in Pioneer Village at 10:00 AM. Open to all ages who would be interested. This is the perfect thing to help you Namasta-y healthy and flexible! Please bring your own mat and water bottle.
