In Washington State local governments can utilize a small works roster to connect with businesses to contract for public works projects if the work will not exceed $350,000. The state prescribes various rules about keeping a small works roster, ensuring it is up to date and that there is an annual opportunity for businesses to be listed on the roster. Using a small works roster is an alternative to advertising per contract for cities, subject to state regulations.
Cities can also create consultant lists for businesses that provide architectural, environmental, engineering and other technical services to municipalities.
The City’s Small Works Roster and the Consultants Roster are updated on a quarterly basis.
