Project Summary
Due to the extreme winter weather this year, many streets suffered from frost damage. During severe ground freezes and thaws, road surfaces are damaged as the ground expands and contracts, causing frost heaves and potholes. This project removed and replaced the damaged road surfaces on several streets.

Project Summary
This project provided improvements of approximately 1 mile (5,280 linear feet) of Portal Way from Enterprise Road to Grandview Road. Work included planing the existing asphalt pavement, grading the roadway, and placing asphalt overlay on this section of Portal Way.

Project Summary
This project involved modifying the existing reservoir overflow piping at Thornton and Vista Drive from below grade to above grade with a gooseneck and air gap, including excavating to an approximate depth of twenty feet below the existing grade for installation of a new manhole with top slab, a new 8” ductile iron pipe and fittings, site work, and related work.

Project Summary
This project provided necessary upgrades at two vital and aged sanitary sewer pump stations. The first is Pump Station #2 located on Main Street, adjacent to the east bank of the Nooksack River. Work in this facility included replacing the 12” sanitary sewer forced main, installing a new generator and new mechanical and electrical systems within the existing building, plus other improvements. The second is Pump Station #3 located within the City right of way on Barrett Avenue, approximately 1/8 mile south of Main Street. Improvements to this facility included the installation of a new generator and new mechanical and electrical systems within the existing building, plus other improvements.

Project Summary
This project involved the rehabilitation of 3rd Avenue between Main Street and Alder Street. It included the installation of a pervious pavement system along the edges of the roadway to intercept stormwater runoff from the road and sidewalks. A sand filter was installed below the pavement to treat the stormwater.
