Project Summary
Pump station 15 is located on Smith Road and was originally installed to serve the Bellaire Estates neighborhood. As the City has grown and developed in the area, the sewer system has been upgraded to a gravity main, allowing the City to decommission the aging pump station. Work included the installation of 650’ of a new 8” diameter gravity sewer main and decommissioning and removing controls at pump station 15.

Project Summary
This project involved installing a covered stormwater decant facility approximately 6,100 square feet in size. In addition, the work included the installation of approximately 45 linear feet of 6-inch PVC sewer pipe, an oil/water separator, a connection to the existing sanitary sewer system, a settling vault, roof infiltration trenches, surface restoration, and electrical.

Project Summary
This project improved and connected Thornton Street, from Malloy Avenue to the roundabout at Portal Way/Second Avenue, via an elevated crossing at the BNSF Railway right of way and tracks. The new bridge will provide access between Malloy Avenue and the Portal Way roundabout which is anticipated to become a principal route for the majority of Ferndale residents living on the west side of the City.
In addition to the elevated crossing, Thornton Street was reconstructed to full city standards, including curb, gutter, shoulder, sidewalk, and new street lighting within the project limits. A new stormwater treatment and detention facility, along with various utility upgrades to the water and stormwater systems were constructed as well.

Project Summary
This project reconstructed and widened Thornton Street to current standards between Vista Drive to Malloy Avenue. As part of this project, upgrades were made to the existing utilities, including storm, water, and sanitary sewer systems. To improve pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle safety, sidewalks, curb, gutter, and street lighting we upgraded and/or added.

Project Summary
This project installed an emergency water intertie from the southern city limits to the City of Bellingham's water infrastructure located on Wynn Road, approximately 4,000 feet. The pipeline is sized to supplement Ferndale's supply when the largest source is out of service. Installation was in the public rights-of-way. This project required Washington State Department of Health approval as an emergency intertie.
