Project Summary
This project will install approximately 500 feet of water main from Thornton Street, then east to Newkirk Road allowing the City to expand and improve its water distribution system. These improvements will provide additional redundancy to what is currently a dead-end system, fed by only one aging line in an area that is difficult to access, should an issue arise requiring immediate repair. The work will create a new loop connecting the Portal Way system and is an upgrade that has been identified as a recommended improvement in the City’s Water Comprehensive Plan.
