Existing City facilities are no longer adequate to support City functions. The Ferndale Municipal Court was identified by the Washington Supreme Court as one of the most-deficient courtrooms in Washington State as a result of holding court in an ill-fitting location.
This project will reconstruct and widen approximately 2,500 feet of the existing roadway to City standards, including curb, gutter, sidewalks, and improvements to the City’s utilities, including constructing or replacing stormwater, water, and sewer lines.
Project to develop a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action Plan for the City of Ferndale, WA in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s SS4A program guidance.
This project will install approximately 500 feet of water main from Thornton Street, then east to Newkirk Road allowing the City to expand and improve its water distribution system.
This project will redesign and repurpose an existing city-owned detention pond as a stormwater treatment wetland to provide detention and enhanced water quality treatment, improved habitat, and greater aesthetic value.
