The Washington State Auditor’s Office conducts Accountability audits every two years and Financial audits annually for the City of Ferndale. The Auditor's also conduct Federal Single audits when the City of Ferndale receives federal grant monies of $1,000,000 in any one year. The audits seek to hold community governments accountable to the public by utilizing experts in public finance to review local budgetary information.
