Enter the Photo Contest

The City of Ferndale launched a new website last year and we need your Ferndale photos! Please submit your photos any time for the chance to be featured on the City’s new website. Photos submitted during the Photo Contest will be featured on the City of Ferndale’s Facebook page for public voting. The top three voted on photos will not only win a prize but also be featured on the City’s website. There is no limit to the number of photographs submitted. Please read the photo contest rules and terms and conditions before submitting. The photo submission period will be open until January 31, 2026. Voting on the City’s Facebook page will take place for the duration of the month of February. Voting will take place in the form of “likes” on the City’s Facebook page. The three photos with the most likes will be ranked first, second, and third place. In the event of a tie, winners will be chosen by staff discretion.

Miss the photo contest submission window? Submissions are always open! Submit your photos at any time to Communications and Community Relations Officer Megan Juenemann at meganjuenemann@cityofferndale.org for a chance to have your photo displayed on the City of Ferndale’s website.

To ensure your photo is included in the contest, please be sure to follow these rules:

• The photo must be of the City of Ferndale, Washington.
• It must be a photo you have the rights to or have permission from owner to submit.
• It must be high-resolution and not a screenshot of an image.
• Include a location description of where the photo is taken. 
• Do not add a logo or watermark to the submitted photos.

Photo Contest Terms and Conditions

I hereby irrevocably grant permission to the City of Ferndale to use the Photograph (and the images and content therein), in whole or in part, on its websites and in print and electronic or any other media now or hereafter known (including publications and advertising), and to edit, combine with other material and  make derivative works of same, in whole or in part, without notifying me and without obligation to me; and I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the final display or other exploitation of the Photograph now or in the compensation arising from or related to the use of the Photograph.

Additionally, I represent and warrant that if any recognizable minors appear in the Photograph, I am the mother, father or duly appointed guardian of such child(ren) or have the irrevocable permission of the parents or duly appointed guardian(s) of such child(ren) to grant the rights set forth herein to the City of Ferndale on behalf of such minor(s). I am the age of the majority in my state of residence (which is typically 18 years of age in most states) and competent to contract in my own name. For purposes of this Photograph submission release, “City of Ferndale” means the City of Ferndale and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, assigns and sublicenses.
