Announcing PRTAB’s January Fitness Clinics!
The City of Ferndale’s Parks, Recreation, and Trails Advisory Board (PRTAB) is excited to launch FREE Adult Fitness Clinics this January! Start the new year with fun, engaging, and accessible fitness opportunities designed for the greater Ferndale community. January is a popular month for new routines and PRTAB is here to help you begin (or restart!) your fitness journey with entry-level, variety-focused clinics that welcome all experience levels.

Classes offered:
Gentle Flow Yoga - Taught by Elena of Flow Motion LLC, this class will guide you through traditional yoga poses at a slower pace to gradually move and wake up the body. Suitable for all levels of fitness. Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle.
Cardio Bootcamp - Taught by combat veteran and mixed martial artist Steve Potvin, owner of The Action Pit, this class will get your heart pumping with fitness drills, bodyweight strength maneuvers, and martial arts inspired movements.
Strength & Balance - Taught by Courtney of Sports Physical Therapy in Ferndale, this class offers a combination of simple strength movements, steady endurance work, and focused core training for a balanced, full body workout. Bodyweight sequences and easy-to-follow intervals will boost stamina while targeted core work will support long-term posture, balance, and everyday movement.
Power Kick - Taught by Jackie Mills of The Armory Fitness, this class is a full body cardio kickboxing workout set to a really fun 90's playlist.
Important Information:
Come prepared: Please bring your own water bottle and wear comfortable athletic clothing along with suitable athletic shoes. If taking Gentle Flow Yoga, please also bring your own yoga mat. Yoga mats will not be provided.
Arrive early: Classes begin promptly at their scheduled times. Plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to check in and get set up.
Waivers required: All participants must have a signed waiver on file before joining any class. During online registration, you will be prompted to sign a waiver. Drop-ins will be provided with a paper waiver at check-in.
Age guidelines: These clinics are designed for adults. Youth ages 14 and up may participate with a signed waiver and a parent/guardian present.
Registration: Each class is limited to 50 participants. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to guarantee your spot. You can find the link to register below under the class schedule.
Drop-ins: Drop-in participants are welcome on an as-available basis.
Check-in policy: Pre-registered participants must check in at least 5 minutes before the class start time. Spots not claimed by then may be released to drop-in participants.
