Stormwater Management

The Public Works Department is responsible for the City’s stormwater utility, including maintenance and repair of stormwater facilities and conveyance systems, planning for expansion of the existing system, investigation and resolution of drainage complaints, and flood control.

The City’s stormwater department coordinates the Stormwater Management Program to meet the requirements of the Department of Ecology Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit:

The City of Ferndale has established (360) 685-2357 as its hotline for reporting spills and other illicit discharges into the stormwater system or surface waters within the city limits. You may also email stormwater@cityofferndale.org

What Is Stormwater?
