The City Administrator is the chief appointed official in the City. The duties of the City Administrator include the overall management and oversight of the day-to-day city operations. The City Administrator is the liaison for the Mayor and City Council to City Commissions, Advisory Boards, Committees, Departments and other organizational components of the City.
The City Administrator is appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council and is responsible for implementing the direction and policy set by the City Council. He collaborates with key departmental and community representatives and works in concert with regional, state, and federal officials to ensure the highest level of customer service for the citizens of Ferndale.
The City's current City Administrator is Greg Young who joined the City in June of 2004.
